Ground Zero Blues Club
Just as many of the old Delta bluesmen migrated out of the Mississippi Delta into Memphis, Chicago and other northern cities, Ground Zero Blues ClubŪ has migrated north to Memphis, bringing with it the sites, sounds and tastes of its famed sister establishment in Clarksdale, Mississippi.Owners of the original Ground Zero Blues ClubŪ in Clarksdale MS, businessman Bill Luckett, actor Morgan Freeman and Howard Stovall, have teamed with John Elkington of Memphis to bring the Mississippi-based Juke Joint to Tennessee, giving Memphians not just the chance to experience Delta blues music, but also a taste of traditional southern dishes alongside Pig-N-Whistle's famous slow-cooked Bar-B-Q.Located a short distance from the FedEx Forum and to the immediate west of the Westin Hotel and other downtown attractions, Ground Zero Blues ClubŪ is the prime location to experience a Southern-down-home experience like none other.
